The bottom line is that, for a low fee every month, donators get access to a portion of the site that no one else can. This will include special images, character sketches, drawings, and model sheets and potentially character ideas. These images will not be uploaded anywhere else! *Please note that subscription donations will not count toward universal goals. |
--Why
donate to Wrongside? Like all other website domains, this one costs money to maintain. Donations help keep the site on-line, and also to help pay the phone bill that the internet connects with. In addition, support to the website also allows more art, more comics, and more Rewards to be made available to the public. Conversely, no support means a probably permanent lack of art and comics and the aforementioned rewards. I would really like to make my lifelong work and ambition to be what puts food on the table and pays the bills, not to mention upgrading equipment that is better capable of making art and comics faster, and for now this is the best way I can do this. Donations are especially important! We have a little one on the way, and this will be a means of support for us and the future <3 I intend to make this my sole source of income in the future. If this does not work, then I will have no choice but to stop the site and focus on other avenues for income and support. Donations are increasingly important! You get more content, more goodies, more comic pages, and more stories with every donation goal met! High donations mean more updates per week, and so on! Besides, if this becomes enough of a success, a physical comic book can be made for sale to viewers as well :) |
--The
rewards for donations are as follows: These donations will be continuous, and the donator gets the choice to pay for what they want to see. --The first choice is for Wallpapers. Whenever the donation jar for Wallpapers reaches $80, a new wallpaper will be added to the download section. Once the goal mark is reached, it will start back over, ready to go again. To donate for Wallpapers, send a donation via paypal or snail mail with a note telling me that donation goes towards a new wallpaper. --The next choice is for a Printable Illustration. A printable illustration consists of an image drawn that is able to be printed at a higher quality than the regular images. Whenever the donation jar for Printable Illustrations reaches $90, a new printable illustration will be added to the download section. Once that goal mark is reached, it will start back over, ready to go again. To donate for a new Printable Illustration, send a donation via paypal or snail mail with a note telling me that donation goes towards a new printable illustration. --The next is a choice to donate between different side stories. For more information about this, visit the Side Stories Page! In addition to group donations, personal donations may be made for a personal reward. A personal donation of $200 will give the donator a choice of a non-speaking cameo of his/her character in the comic (restrictions apply), a character sheet of a character of his/her choosing, or an image of one or two of the Wrongside characters of his/her choosing. An email will be sent when said cameo will apear in the comic, if that winds up being the case. A personal donation of $400 will give the donator a choice of a speaking (one line or possibly more, given the situation) of his/her character in the comic (restrictions apply), and one choice of either a character sheet of his/her choosing, or an image of one or two of the Wrongside characters of his/her choosing. If the speaking cameo cannot be, then the donator will receive the latter two choices instead. The goals have been revised as of May, 2007. The reason for the latest revisions is to 1.) Generate more interest in the comic, the goals, basically the website itself. Lowering the goals will help do that, I sincerely hope, as I would really like to continue to do this, and I cannot without sufficient donations. Hopefully this will help, and 2.) To try and weed out the things that there has been no interest in, such as the Winamp Skins. If there are requests to put this option back on the table, then I will, for probably a lesser price. The restrictions that apply to the personal donations fall under the guidelines of the format of the comic. For example, if your character/creation has more than one tail, or has wings, or is a human/elf/et cetera, this character is restricted, for no creature in Wrongside is anything like that. A good idea to what characters would be able to be given cameos would be had from what characters I have created, and the format they follow. |
